Stepping into a wedding at the Marmalade Lily is always a beautiful and whimsical experience. Every detail is thought out and it usually always includes a variety of the most unique flowers. Tyler and Emma’s day was peaceful and full of joy from the beginning. The Marmalade has space upstairs for the girls to hang out and get ready and an outdoor area to enjoy lunch before the big day’s festivities begin. Every piece of the property is utilized in a unique way- from the flower gardens, to the outdoor wooded ceremony space, there is truly so much variety there and room to make the day feel special to you. I enjoyed capturing not only all the special moments throughout the day, but also capturing all the details. This spring wedding had so much color and it brought me so much joy!
From the outdoor ceremony, to the both indoor and outdoor reception, it was a blessing to have such great weather on this day! The photos below are just a few of my favorite moments from Tyler and Emma’s wedding that I felt truly encompass how beautiful their day was.

When I first arrive to any wedding, I take a walk around the venue to scope out photo spots and take in the views. Marmalade Lily is full of stunning views, to say the least!
Next, I hung with the girls, who were doing finishing touches before putting on dresses. One of my favorite moments of this wedding day, was first looks. Between close friends in the bridal party, the father of the bride and the groom, it’s so special to see how everyone reacts to the bride in her dress.

The bride and groom chose to do a first look before the ceremony. As a photographer, I am always excited by this because it leaves room for some special moments between the couple to enjoy each other’s presence and not feel rushed by the rest of the somewhat busy day a full-sized wedding can bring. Emma and Tyler chose to do their first look at the ceremony space, which I felt like was a sweet place to choose, since they would be surrounded by all their close loved ones shortly after, sharing their vows. They shared a first look and then we walked the grounds for some bridal portraits.

Their ceremony was outdoors in the small wooded area the venue offers, with wooden benches and a decorated arch.

Family photos are always a special dedicated time after ceremony and of course bridal party fun is always a special time too!

The rest of the evening was a blast between speeches, cake cutting and dancing! We even snuck away for a few more bridal portraits in the outdoor reception space.

Overall, this spring wedding was definitely one for the books and I am SO happy for these two. These photos reflect a day full of joy, that wasn’t rushed and full of a jam packed schedule. It was easy and it flowed well. Moments didn’t feel forced. This is the type of day I dream up for all of my clients- so we can create images we want to look back on. The images that encompass every feeling the wedding day held.
